Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene

The origins of Prosecco DOCG lie in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a hilly area in north-eastern Italy located 50km from Venice and about 100km from the Dolomites. The production area covers 15 municipalities with a historic DOC zone recognized in 1969. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019, the area’s Glera grapes originate exclusively from the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The signature version of Conegliano Valdobbiadene is the Charmat method sparkling wine, whose informal and refined character has introduced a new style of drinking. In this version the adjective Superiore is added to the name Prosecco.
