Recioto

Recioto is a sweet wine produced mainly in the region of Veneto, in Italy, using the drying method. This process involves drying the grapes on mats or in well-ventilated environments for several weeks, thus allowing a natural concentration of sugars and flavors. Recioto della Valpolicella is perhaps the best known among Recioto wines, obtained from grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Another example is Recioto di Soave, produced with Garganega grapes. This sweet white wine is characterized by notes of honey, almonds and dried fruit, with an aromatic complexity that makes it ideal to accompany desserts, aged cheeses or to be enjoyed alone as a meditation wine. Recioto, with its history dating back to antiquity, is one of the oenological excellences of Veneto, celebrated for its ability to express the local territory and wine traditions.
