TASTING NOTES

Production

A central figure in the history of Fumane and the Valpolicella Classica region, the Allegrini family has always been committed to safeguarding the territories in which it operates, along with their culture and traditions. Thanks to significant innovations in viticulture and winemaking, with an eye always on the history of the vine and wine, Allegrini succeeds, bottle after bottle, vintage after vintage, in showcasing its 150 hectares of vineyards that produce unique and prestigious wines, the result of the company’s refined style and the harvest of grapes grown exclusively on family-owned land. Giovanni Allegrini’s Recioto Classico della Valpolicella is a sweet wine from Veneto produced from a blend of 40% Corvina Veronese, 40% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta, fermented in stainless steel and subsequently aged for 14 months in wood and a further 10 months in the bottle. It shares the grape-drying technique with Amarone, but differs in that the fermentation process is naturally halted before all the sugars are converted into alcohol. A sweet wine with an intense ruby red colour, it has a spicy bouquet with notes of dried fruit and a long finish. Per 100 ml: 544 kJ/130 kcal

You can enjoy some of the best Veneto wines around with the guarantee of a quality product where tradition and innovation come together to create a unique taste. Allegrini products are made exclusively with the grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the family, cultivated and cared for with full respect for the land and traditions.
