Ferghettina’s Franciacorta Brut is produced in the heart of Franciacorta from selected grapes grown in the estate’s own vineyards, cultivated with great attention to quality and respect for the land. The blend is predominantly Chardonnay, with a proportion of Pinot Noir, harvested by hand and subjected to soft pressing to preserve its finesse and elegance. The first fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, whilst the second fermentation follows the Metodo Classico, with a long secondary fermentation in the bottle and ageing on the lees, which imparts complexity and structure. The Brut dosage is designed to ensure a balance between freshness, smoothness and expressive precision.
Visually, it is a brilliant straw-yellow colour, with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it is elegant and harmonious, with aromas of white-fleshed fruit, apple and pear, accompanied by citrus and floral notes and delicate hints of bread crust and yeast. On the palate, it is fresh and enveloping, with a creamy effervescence, a pleasant savouriness and a balanced, persistent finish that invites you to take another sip.
A versatile and refined Franciacorta, ideal as an aperitif but also perfect throughout a meal. It pairs excellently with fish dishes, shellfish, sushi, delicate pasta dishes, white meats and fresh or medium-aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 6–8°C.
