Barbera d'Asti Lavignone is a DOCG red wine produced 100% with Barbera grapes grown on the mineral hills of Mombaruzzo, in the province of Asti. The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed, and gently pressed to preserve aromas and freshness. Winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for 10-12 days. This is followed by refining in steel for approximately 9 months, and finally a further 4 months in bottle before marketing. Nutritional values per 100 ml product: Enerygia = 338 kJ/81 kcal
Deep and bright ruby red color. Elegant and enveloping, with notes of cherry, plum, red fruit, violet, and rose; in some vintages, spicy aromas such as white pepper and Ras el-hanout emerge, along with earthy, citrusy nuances. Fresh and structured, with soft and well-integrated tannins, sustained acidity, good length and pleasant persistence.
Barbera d'Asti Lavignone pairs perfectly with ragù first courses, grilled red meats, braised meats, cured meats, and aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16°C.
