The grapes for Barolo Albe were hand-harvested in October. Each cluster was selected three times: directly from the vine, whole at the sorting tables, and finally, berry by berry after destemming. The fermentation took place in truncated cone-shaped vats, with gentle pump-overs and punch-downs. Malolactic fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 26 months in large Slavonian oak barrels of 40, 50, and 75 hectoliters.
The Albe 2020 presents expressive aromas on the nose, with notes of cherry, rose, and sweet spices. On the palate, it showcases great energy and vibrancy, with a youthful tannin structure and a generous mouthfeel, enriched by hints of raspberry and orange zest. A Barolo with a persistent finish.
Perfect with braised red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
