TASTING NOTES

Production

Harvest and selection of grapes are done manually. The grapes are gently pressed and then undergo settling. Fermentation occurs slowly at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 5–7 months on fine lees in steel barrels.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Alto Adige Pinot Grigio is a lively straw-yellow wine that indicates good freshness, with elegant aromas of fruit complemented by hints of lychee and white melon. Floral notes reminiscent of freshly cut wildflowers complete the bouquet. Freshness and fragrance dominate the palate, with fruity nuances that align perfectly with the nose.

Occasion and Pairing

It can easily be chosen as an everyday wine, perfect for everything from an aperitif to a special occasion, especially with typical South Tyrolean dishes like speck or delicious canederli. Cured meats, such as a good Parma ham or bresaola, are also great pairings.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Terlano

Cantina di Terlano was founded towards the end of the 19th century and has since distinguished itself as one of the most progressive winegrowers' cooperatives in the whole of Alto Adige. The commitment and hard work of its members has been pursued with passion, always keeping faith with their traditions, to ensure the production of wines from Alto Adige that best represent the characteristics of the region. Today, the members of the winery cultivate around 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production of more than one million bottles per year. Such a large production can count on the valuable support of a dense network of knowledge and know-how handed down from generation to generation, and the constant study of the most modern techniques. Only DOC wines are matured in the current company, divided between 30% of red wines and 70% of white wines, presented to the public in three different lines: the Selections, the Vineyards and the Classics. Name and address of producer/distributor: Terlano - via Silberleiten, 7, 39018 Terlano (BZ). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
