South Tyrol Pinot Grigio is a South Tyrolean white wine with a lively straw-yellow colour, indicative of good freshness, and elegant fruity notes with hints of lychee and white melon. The bouquet is rounded off by floral notes that are very reminiscent of the pleasant, herbal scent of freshly cut wildflowers. Freshness and fragrance dominate the palate, with hints of fruit mirroring the nose.
It is perfectly suited as an everyday wine, from an aperitif to a special occasion, perhaps paired with typical South Tyrolean dishes featuring speck or delicious canederli. Cold cuts, such as a good Parma ham or bresaola, are also welcome.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
