TASTING NOTES

The Taurasi Riserva Vigna Grande Cerzito is a Cru of one hectare of Aglianico, planted in 2004 on the south side of the Quintodecimo Estate. The soil, originated from ashes and pumice from the fall, is of a volcanic nature that gives mineral characteristics to the wine. Vigna Grande Cerzito comes from grapes harvested manually, at full phenolic ripeness. After careful post-destemming sorting, the crushed berries are fermented for 20-25 days at a temperature of 28-30 sanguine. Subsequently an Élevage of 18-24 months is made in new oak barriques. Taurasi Riserva involves for its power and elegance. Its wide olfactory richness gives refined aromas of cherry, plum and chocolate. The palate is fleshy and at the same time delicate, very long-lived and becomes even finer and elegant with the passing of time, complementing with notes of mint, eucalyptus and incense. Vigna Grande Cerzito is perfect for any meal and goes perfectly with meat or long-aged cheeses. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
