TASTING NOTES

Production

The Prosecco Brut Bel Star is produced using the Charmat method from 100% Glera grapes, which are hand-harvested from vineyards situated on clay-rich soils. This allows the vines to avoid water stress and produces grapes with a rich aromatic profile, yet always balanced by excellent acidity. The grapes are gently pressed, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and finally undergo a second fermentation and ageing for several months in autoclaves before being bottled. Energy value: 100ml: E = 283kJ/68kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

The colour is straw yellow with greenish highlights, whilst the perlage is fine and persistent. The bouquet is particularly refined and intense, with scents of white flowers, wildflowers and fruity aromas of apple and pear, accompanied by very pleasant mineral notes. On the palate, it is lively and balanced, with intense aromas and a long, persistent finish.

Occasion and Pairing

A fresh and lively Venetian sparkling wine suitable for any occasion, perfect as an aperitif or with cold cuts.

THE WINERY

Bisol

The Bisol winery in the "Chartice" area, now known as the Cartizze hill, boasts a history of viticulture in Valdobbiadene that spans five centuries. Characterised by its love of the land and the fruits of the area, the winery controls 20 estates of vineyards scattered over the hills from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano. The winery's prestige also derives from the fact that it is one of the very few in the area to control all stages of production, from the vines to bottling and sales. This is one of the factors that contribute to the excellence of the Veneto sparkling wines that come from here, as well as ensuring a knowledge of the terroir that guarantees the utmost respect for the surrounding nature. The microclimate also has a great influence on the Prosecco from Valdobbiadene. A constant optimum breeze, ideal exposure to the sun and a good temperature range, together with the 300 metre altitude of the hillside, contribute to the high quality of the product. Finally, the processing entirely by hand and the differentiation of the wine according to the micro-zone of origin are additional factors that elevate this Veneto wine to an ultimate level. Name and address of producer/distributor: Bisol - Via Follo, 33, 31049 Santo Stefano, Valdobbiadene TV. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
