TASTING NOTES

Production

The Cuvée Prestige Edizione 48 is a blend predominantly of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and a small proportion of Pinot Blanc, sourced from numerous vineyards across Franciacorta. The Edizione 48 denotes a specific selection of vintages and reserve wines, designed to express balance, freshness and stylistic consistency. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with ageing on the lees for approximately 25 months, followed by disgorging without oxygen, a distinctive practice of the winery to preserve aromatic integrity and finesse. The finish is clean, elegant and persistent, with fruity and slightly toasty notes.

THE WINERY

Ca' del Bosco

An indisputable point of reference for Franciacorta and an example of excellence in the panorama of italian sparkling wines, Ca’ del Bosco is the protagonist of a story that smacks of fairy tales. It was the mid-sixties when Annamaria Clementi Zanella signed the deed of purchase of a small country house, in the municipality of Erbrusco, surrounded by a chestnut forest. A few years later, the intuition of her son Maurizio transformed it into one of the most famous wineries in the area. The constant search for quality pursued by Maurizio results in measures that allow the Ca' del Bosco winery to stand out from many others. The cultivation of over 200 hectares of vineyards is organized and divided respecting the characteristics of the land. Many plots are dedicated to natural cultivation, thanks to the growing adoption of sustainable practices. Furthermore, an entire area dedicated to art has been set up inside the cellar, where sculptures and other works contribute to creating the magic of the place and act as a continuous source of inspiration. The Ca’ del Bosco sparkling wines, as well as both white and red wines, are perfect for celebrating an important occasion: their unmistakable and balanced notes are the result of a skilful and measured dosage and work done with passion. Savor the elegance of Ca’ del Bosco wines: visit our dedicated page and choose the perfect sparkling wine or wine for any occasion. Discover all Franciacorta wines.
