TASTING NOTES

Brunello wine is one of the most prestigious red wines not only in Tuscany, but all over Italy and the world. Its strict production process involves a very long ageing period: at least two years in oak containers of any size and at least 4 months in the bottle and cannot be released for consumption before 1 January of the year following the end of the 5 years based on the harvest growing year. The Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo di Frescobaldi wine undergoes the same complex production process: the colour, aroma and mouthfeel perfectly evoke the long journey that this important red wine has undertaken. The colour is intense, a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. It has an aroma of raspberries, plums, ripe cherries, spices and toasts. The mouthfeel is harmonious, mineral and savoury, with a very elegant tannic texture. It envelops the mouth with a persistent finish. Perfect for a nice Sunday lunch with tasty meat dishes. THE WINERY

Frescobaldi

With a history dating back to the Middle Ages, when Florence was the most important commercial and cultural crossroads in the modern world, the Frescobaldi family has been established as one of the leading wineries in Tuscany for centuries. The Frescobaldi vineyards cover a total of 1,200 hectares, spread over several estates, each with its own characteristic microclimate and terroir. The distinctive strength of this winery lies in the ability of its managers to enhance the diversity and uniqueness of the Tuscan territory. Agronomists and oenologists work together to cultivate the vines in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. Involved in this enterprise for 700 years, the Frescobaldi family has skilfully kept up with innovations, interpreting the most prized red wine labels with absolute mastery, including the Chianti, the Brunello di Montalcino and the Rosso di Montalcino. But all wines from the Frescobaldi winery contain a kaleidoscopic bouquet of aromas and flavours that give them an exceptional personality, perceptible at a glance. Name and address of producer/distributor: Frescobaldi - Via Aretina 120, 50065 Sieci Firenze (FI). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
