TASTING NOTES

The Marion company is a small family-run business in Marcellise in the municipality of San Martino Buon Albergo, a 10-minute drive from Verona. The winery is located in a Renaissance villa owned by Count Marioni which dates back to the sixteenth century. Marion, founded in the 1980s by Stefano Campedelli, his wife Nicoletta and his brother Marco, covers about twenty hectares and also includes rented land. The company philosophy is based on taking meticulous care in all phases of wine production, especially managing the vineyards to protect the plants’ natural balance. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is a magnificent red wine from Veneto aged for about 2 years in small barrels that is a bright ruby red colour with good transparency. It derives from lightly dried grapes that allow for an intense and refined olfactory bouquet. Lots of fruit on the nose with cherry, raspberry, black cherry and blackberry followed by hints of vanilla, milk chocolate and coffee. In the mouth, excellent balance between the components. Perfectly extracted and silky tannin. Long length finish. An ideal Sunday lunch wine to impress with a hard-to-find wine. Try it with red meats, game or mature cheeses.

The small Marion Winery is a family-run business that, thanks to the commitment and passion of its members, has managed to establish itself as an important reference point in the production of high-quality Veneto wines.
