TASTING NOTES

Toscana Rosso Gandino is produced from 90% Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes for the remaining 10% which, after a long maceration and after completing the alcoholic fermentation, age in barrels for 30 months. In the glass this wine has a dark and well concentrated ruby color, intense aromas of dark fruit jam, blackberry and black cherry, accompanied by spicy, balsamic and tobacco-like sensations. On the palate it reveals an excellent structure, full and soft, but with remarkable sapidity and freshness that entice the sip. The tannins are thick and velvety and the persistence long, with returns of spices. Perfect to be drunk along with traditional peasant dishes. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
