TASTING NOTES

Production

Serena Wines is a venture as young as it is ancient. A project born in the company’s 140th year of operation. Indeed, whilst delving through old Venetian archives, written records were found attesting to the Serena family’s involvement in the art of glassmaking in ancient Venice as far back as 1390. Over time, driven by enthusiasm and hope, the company has succeeded in promoting the local area and nature, producing wines that embody the spirit of conviviality. Prosecco Extra Dry El Siòr is a versatile and easy-drinking Prosecco, made from 85% Glera grapes and a 15% blend of Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay. ‘Extra Dry’ refers to the sugar content in the wine, which in this case is around 12–17 g/l, making this a light and lively wine. 100 ml: E = 289 kJ/69 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Pale straw yellow in the glass, this Prosecco offers intense aromas of Golden Delicious apple and white flowers. On the palate, it is smooth and juicy, fresh and of good intensity.

THE WINERY

Serena Wines

The hilly areas of Veneto are known for the quality of their wines, in particular the Prosecco. Here, in 1881, Pietro Serena founded the Serena Wines winery, the first distillery producing wines sold and preserved inside wooden barrels. The winery's connection to the area was immediately evident and is still a characteristic feature today. In fact, the company owns several brands and estates that are distributed in the surrounding areas. Quality grapes of various types are grown on the different hectares of property. Fine white wines such as Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, red wines such as Merlot and Cabernet and sparkling wines such as Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOCG and Prosecco DOC are made from them. Serena Wines' production processes have always been characterized by enormous respect for biodiversity and the local ecosystem. Furthermore, territorial sustainability projects have been implemented recently, including in collaboration with several universities, to further ensure the intrinsic quality that has always distinguished its products. Savor the Venetian vini of this fantastic winery. Name and address producer/distributor: Serena Wines 1881, via Camillo Bianchi, 1, 31015 Conegliano (TV).
