Ca' dei Frati’s Lugana I Frati is the winery’s flagship wine: fresh and lively, best enjoyed young, yet also worthy of appreciation after years of ageing when its mineral notes develop a distinct character. Produced entirely from Turbiana grapes, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, from vines up to 40 years old, which, after careful selection, are fermented and aged in stainless steel, before resting in the bottle for 6 months. 100 ml: E=322 kJ/78 kcal
Straw-yellow in colour, it is highly pleasing on the nose, elegant yet graceful, fragrant with fruity, floral and mineral notes. The palate, fresh and refined, is enriched by a mineral savouriness that makes it inviting to drink and pleasantly lightens its full body.
With a long finish, it is a versatile wine, but one that finds its perfect match with grilled lake fish.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
