TASTING NOTES

Production

Malvasia de I Clivi comes from the vineyards of Brazzano di Cormons, which exceed 80 years of age. Plants so old, they are parches in quantity but they pay back by producing grapes of very high quality, which we find in the wines of Mario Zanusso. Following its corporate credo, even the journey made by Malvasia from vineyard to bottle is entirely in steel. 12 months of ageing on fine lees, before bottling. Nutritional values: 100 ml: E = 330 KJ 79 Kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

The glass of white wine has a beautiful golden color. The nose is captured by gentle floral and fresh notes, on which stands out the camomile flower. The palate is pleasantly dry, full, mineral, and of right persistence.

Occasion and Pairing

It is easily combined with fish and shellfish, seafood dishes in general, also fried or seasoned. You can also open in company, for an excellent aperitif with friends.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate the style, this wine should be served at a service temperature of 10/12°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

I Clivi

Very old and mostly indigenous vines are to be found in the vineyards of i Clivi, a point of reference in the production of Ribolla Gialla in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Most are between 40 and 60 years old, but in some plots there are specimens not far from a century old. Sinking their roots into sandstone soil, they have a low yield per hectare, which guarantees the natural concentration and complexity of their fruit. Guarding such an important heritage, the Zanusso family has made territoriality and longevity the keywords of its business since 1996. The property's twelve hectares are divided into two DOC zones with different microclimates and are cultivated with different varieties: Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, Verduzzo and Malvasia. In the I Clivi winery, the grapes are processed avoiding the use of machinery as much as possible in order to preserve their integrity and uniqueness. The result of such finesse are white wines and sparkling wines with great personality and character, yet at the same time as light as a caress for the palate. Name and address of producer/distributor: I Clivi - Loc. Gramogliano 20, 33040 Corno di Rosazzo UD. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
