TASTING NOTES

The Grande Dame Rosé is a rare and extraordinary wine. In 1818, Madame Clicquot created the first Champagne Rosé d'Assemblage by blending some of her red Bouzy wines with white wines. La Grande Dame Rosé respects this vision with 90% of Pinot Noir and 10% of Chardonnay from the historic Grand Crus of the territory and a red wine added to the blend from a single plot, the "Clos Colin" located in Bouzy. Champagne The Grand Dame Rosé is presented in the Brut version with 8 g/l of residual sugar and with a potential for ageing on yeasts of more than 15 years. Vertical, elegant and solar Champagne The Grand Dame is a solar Vintage Champagne that expresses solemn elegance. This cuvée has a wonderful salmon pink color and a copper sparkle. On the nose, floral notes are revealed that evolve into warmer and spicy aromas. On the palate, after a strong impact, the bouquet becomes elegant and silky. A complex and lively wine with a pleasant and long-lasting finish. Champagne The Grand Dame Rosé is ideal to combine with dishes from the vegetable world or with dishes with seasoning of land and sea. To fully appreciate the style, this champagne must be served at a service temperature of 8/10°C. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Veuve Clicquot

In 1805, the young Madame Clicquot suddenly became widowed. At only 27 years old, she took over the reins of the house founded in 1772 by her late husband. Guided by her great passion and ability for excellence, she created her first Champagne vintage in 1810. In addition to reflecting exceptional savoir-faire, the production process of Veuve Clicquot Champagne has always been very creative, based mainly on the blending of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes. One quality, the best. This is the spirit of Maison Veuve Clicquot. Today, the house owns some 390 hectares of vineyards, spread over Grand Cru and Premier Cru in Champagne and characterised by chalky soil, responsible for the mineral notes of the Champagne Clicquot cuvées. Since 2002, the house has adopted organic and sustainable viticulture, applied from vine cultivation to vinification and maturation activities. Name and address of producer/distributor: Veuve Clicquot, 12, rue du Temple, 51100 Reims - France. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
