In 1805, the young Madame Clicquot suddenly became widowed. At only 27 years old, she took over the reins of the house founded in 1772 by her late husband. Guided by her great passion and ability for excellence, she created her first Champagne vintage in 1810. In addition to reflecting exceptional savoir-faire, the production process of Veuve Clicquot Champagne has always been very creative, based mainly on the blending of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes.
