TASTING NOTES

Production

Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from 25–30 crus with 20–30% reserve wines, grown in the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The grapes for Ruinart’s Brut Blanc de Blancs are harvested by hand, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and complete malolactic fermentation. It is aged for 2 to 3 years in the bottle on the lees. 100 ml: E = 314 kJ/75 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it presents a pale golden colour, enriched with almond-green highlights and jade hues. On the first nose, intense aromas of fresh fruit emerge: ripe lemons, juicy pears or freshly picked peaches. On the second nose, it reveals a hint of magnolia, more floral and elegant, combined with a spicy note of ginger and pink peppercorns. A unique and harmonious texture envelops the palate, balancing tension and roundness. The lively freshness of ripe citrus and exotic fruits enhances the texture. The final mineral touch is persistent and delicate.

Occasion and Pairing

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is a delicate wine that pairs perfectly with fresh, refined cuisine.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

THE WINERY

Ruinart

One family, one spirit. Maison Ruinart was founded in 1729, when Nicolas Ruinart, exploiting the intuition of his uncle, a Benedictine monk in Reims, founded the Maison which still bears his name today. Today Ruinart is part of the LVMH group and is one of the most renowned Champagne producers in the world. There are specific techniques that characterize the history of the Maison Ruinart and reveal the essential character of an exceptional experience. In the Maison Ruinart, Champagne is a product of the earth, which respects the harmony of nature and treats the fruits it offers delicately. The aromatic Chardonnay grape variety is the basis of all cuvées and its grapes derive mainly from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Blanc de Blancs is the most representative wine for the Maison, which first appeared in 1959. All Ruinart Champagnes ripen in crayères, i.e. chalk quarries located 38 meters deep at constant temperature and humidity, today considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dom Ruinart represents the oldest Champagne produced in history, aimed at acting as the progenitor of a legendary tradition.
