One family, one spirit. Maison Ruinart was founded in 1729, when Nicolas Ruinart, taking advantage of his uncle’s institution, a Benedictine monk in Reims, founded the house that still bears his name today. Today, Ruinart is part of the LVMH group and is one of the most renowned producers of Champagne in the world. There are specific techniques that characterise the history of Maison Ruinart and reveal the essential character of an exceptional experience. At Maison Ruinart, Champagne is a product of the earth, respecting the harmony of nature and treating the fruits it offers with delicacy. The aromatic Chardonnay grape variety forms the basis of all the cuvées and its grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. Blanc de Blancs is the most representative wine for the house, first appearing in 1959. All Ruinart Champagne is matured in the crayères, the chalk quarries located 38 metres underground at a constant temperature and humidity, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
