The vinification of Barolo Marenca takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 18-20 days. The aging process lasts for 24 months, with the first year in 500-liter French oak tonneaux and the second year in large Slavonian oak barrels of 25 hectoliters.
The Barolo Marenca has an intense garnet red color. On the nose, it stands out for its freshness and the great complexity of its aromas, ranging from wild berries to vanilla and chocolate, with hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is very robust, rich in extracts, with lively yet pleasant tannins, softened by the skillful use of wood. It is a powerful and intriguing Barolo, with a long life ahead.
It is ideal when paired with red meat dishes or even with a pasta dish featuring a rich meat sauce.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
