TASTING NOTES

Production

Nebbiolo is the native red grape variety of the Langhe, so named for the amount of bloom covering the skin, reminiscent of the October morning mist at harvest time. In Alba, therefore, after harvesting the 5 hectares of vines used to produce this Barbaresco, the ripe Nebbiolo bunches are left to macerate for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees. This is followed by a year’s ageing in oak barrels of varying capacities, and the wine completes its vinification process in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bric Turot is a unique, intense and complex Barbaresco. In the glass, it displays orange hues against a deep ruby background; on the nose, balsamic notes prevail, with cloves and cinnamon giving way to a succession of spicy nuances. On the palate, the tannins are velvety yet distinct, balanced and smooth.

Occasion and Pairing

A full-bodied yet fragrant wine, ideal for the table, perfect with a platter of freshly sliced cold cuts.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, Bric Turot should be served at a temperature of 14–16°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

The Prunotto company carefully manages a modern, state-of-the-art production, starting from the cultivation of its fifty hectares up to the bottling process, to offer a final product with attention to every detail.
