TASTING NOTES

Production

Nebbiolo is the native red grape variety of the Langhe, so named for the amount of bloom covering the skin, reminiscent of the October morning mist at harvest time. In Alba, therefore, after harvesting the 5 hectares of vines used to produce this Barbaresco, the ripe Nebbiolo bunches are left to macerate for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees. This is followed by a year’s ageing in oak barrels of varying capacities, and the wine completes its vinification process in the bottle.

Organoleptic Characteristics

Bric Turot is a unique, intense and complex Barbaresco. In the glass, it displays orange hues against a deep ruby background; on the nose, balsamic notes prevail, with cloves and cinnamon giving way to a succession of spicy nuances. On the palate, the tannins are velvety yet distinct, balanced and smooth.

Occasion and Pairing

A full-bodied yet fragrant wine, ideal for the table, perfect with a platter of freshly sliced cold cuts.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, Bric Turot should be served at a temperature of 14–16°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Prunotto

What distinguishes the Ebensperger family is the common passion for whisky. The distillery is located in the Upper Vinschgau Valley, in a modern, elegant and ambitious style. A synthesis of a traditional constructive method, but with a modern inspiration. The striking style of the exterior building is reminiscent of the traditional window structure of the barns in the region. Today the company continues to experiment a lot in the production, using different varieties of barley from Bavaria, Great Britain and Sicily. Whisky ages in American Bourbon barrels, Sicilian Marsala barrels, ex-peated barrels or Spanish sherry barrels, creating the most varied aromas. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: PUNI distilleria srl, Via Muhlbach 2 - 39020 Glorenza (BZ) - Italia. The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
