TASTING NOTES

Production

For some years now, most production has been certified organic, some of it certified biodynamic. This makes it the largest Italian company in the production of these types of wine and one of the largest players in the world. Pinot Grigio Metodo Ancestrale Ramoro is a sparkling white wine from Abruzzo made from Pinot Grigio grapes according to the method defined as ancestral after the harvest and the beginning of fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The must is refrigerated to interrupt the biochemical process that will resume once bottled. It follows that the wine thus obtained will have a pleasant foam.100 ml: E=270 kJ/65 kcal"

Organoleptic Characteristics

At the calyx it appears with a pale pink tending towards copper, with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it is delicate and pleasant, with initial notes of white peach and pink grapefruit followed by hints of small red fruits. In the mouth it is fine and thin, lively for its freshness and minerality.

Occasion and Pairing

Wine from every day and quite versatile, its use can range from aperitif to pairing with charcuterie boards.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 10/12°C.

THE WINERY

Orsogna

As a book on the history of Venetian wines testifies that, the Montresor family, owners of the Cantina Ottella, were among the best producers of Lugana as early as 1905. Since 1964, Lodovico Montresor has been working to give this important white label a strong and recognisable identity, which led to the creation of the specific designation a few years later. Situated in a region that is particularly well suited to viticulture, the Ottella vineyards extend across an area of glacial origin, whose clay and limestone soils are the result of centuries of debris accumulation. Extreme care is devoted to each vine, for which a double-arched implant system is preferred. A ventilated microclimate gives the final touch to the grapes, promoting the growth of excellent, healthy grapes. At the Ottella Winery, the fruit is processed in the most natural way possible, emphasising the flavour with very few ingredients, to make simplicity an added value. The Ottella wines obtained encapsulate all the essence of the soil in which they are grown, releasing mineral notes that are intriguing on the palate. Name and address of producer/distributor: Ottella - Loc. Boschetti, 37019 San Benedetto di Lugana, 37019 Peschiera del Garda (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
