Nikolas’ Verjan Bianco is produced in Friuli Venezia Giulia, through artisanal viticulture that deeply respects the land and native grape varieties. It is made primarily from Friulano grapes, grown on the marl-sand soils typical of the area, which lend the wine finesse and character. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful selection of the bunches. Vinification is carried out in a traditional, low-intervention manner, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity. Ageing continues in stainless steel for several months, allowing the wine to retain a clean, direct and strongly terroir-driven style. Average values per 100 ml: 314 kJ/75 kcal
Visually, it is a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, it is refined and elegant, with aromas of white flowers, apple, pear and light citrus notes, accompanied by hints of wild herbs and almond. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, with a pleasant savouriness, good structure and a dry, clean finish, characterised by the Friulano’s typical slightly bitter aftertaste.
A versatile and highly drinkable wine, ideal as an aperitif but also perfect throughout a meal. It pairs excellently with starters, fish dishes, prosciutto, fresh cheeses, vegetables and traditional Friulian dishes.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 10–12°C.
