Tenuta dell’Ugolino is situated in the Marche municipality of Castelplanio, within the oldest and most renowned area where the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC is produced, which boasts the ‘Classico’ designation on its label. Verdicchio is one of Italy’s most important white grape varieties and is distinguished by its ageing potential and versatility. From the very beginning, the estate has followed strict production guidelines to create quality wines, through meticulous care of the vineyards—which now cover 8 hectares—as well as by hand-harvesting. It is from this passion for their land that the winery’s wines originate, including Le Piaole Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico. 100ml E = 310kJ/74kcal
Made from 100% Verdicchio grapes: a white wine from the Marche region with a delicate straw-yellow colour and greenish hues. Brief ageing in steel and subsequently in the bottle allows it to fully express the varietal aromas that characterise this grape and the terroir from which it originates: such as white and yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus notes and floral hints. The palate is dry and lively, thanks to a light body, with good freshness and savouriness. It finishes with a delicate almond note and hints of white-fleshed fruit.
Perfect for any occasion, it is ideal with fish and shellfish dishes.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 12–14°C.
