Valtellina Superiore Valgella Vigna Fracia by Nino Negri is made from Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) grapes grown on the terraces of the Valgella sub-zone, in Valtellina. The vineyards, located on steep slopes at high altitude, benefit from excellent exposure and strong temperature variations. The harvest is manual and the winemaking takes place in steel with macerations on the skins. The refinement takes place in wood for several months, followed by a period in the bottle, to enhance elegance and complexity. 100 ml: E=309 kJ/75 kcal
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it opens with notes of cherry, small red and pink fruits, accompanied by spicy, balsamic notes and light mineral nuances. On the palate it is elegant and fresh, with fine tannins, good flavour and a long, harmonious finish.
Wine of great finesse and territoriality, ideal to accompany red meats, roasts, game and traditional Valtellina dishes, as well as aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
