Unlike Amarone and Ripasso, Grola does not undergo a process of wilting the grapes as per tradition, but after the harvest it undergoes fermentation in steel and subsequent aging in second-pass French oak barriques for 16 months and in bottle for another 10 months. It is born from a selection of Corvina Veronese and Oseleta grapes placed at around 300 metres above sea level. And for 100 ml=330 kj/79 kcal
It is a Venetian red wine with good body, intense and elegant. Ruby red in colour at the calyx, it has a very wide aromatic fan that ranges from hints of red berry fruits to juniper, to final notes of tobacco and coffee. On the palate the sip is full, dry and of an incredible elegance given to it by a clever refinement in the cellar.
Perfect for any kind of occasion find the best pairing with red meats or aged cheeses.
To fully appreciate its style, Grola should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18°C.
