The Barraco story is one of excellence and passion that has given a voice to the winemaker's need to produce Sicilian wines that excite the consumer and convey the purity of the native grape varieties of the Marsala region, since 2004.
With a family farming tradition, Nino Barraco ensures research, experimentation and innovation in his artisanal production thanks to direct and personal control of every stage of production. The result, in Barraco's own words, is not intended to be a 'perfect' wine, but a 'recognisable' one, with personality and dissonance to enhance it even more.
On 10 hectares of land, Barraco wines also stand out for the respect that the artisan shows for the land and microclimate, with unforced fermentation, long maceration and by following the variations of nature, so as not to run the risk of homogenisation as a result of technical intervention.
Every element of production contributes to the creation of fine, elegant and delicious Sicilian white and rosé wines, Mediterranean and marine, different to the traditional Sicilian warm and rounded wines.
