TASTING NOTES

Production

Simplicity, purity and respect for the land are the three cornerstones that Graziano Prà adheres to strictly in the production of his organically farmed wines. We are in Monteforte d’Alpone, east of Verona, the land of the Garganega grape, and for years, guardian of a volcano that gave rise to the hills of the renowned Soave DOC appellation. Soave Otto is the Pra winery’s entry-level wine, its most distinctive, and comes from the sixty-year-old vineyards of Monteforte d’Alpone situated on the south-eastern slope of the estate, in dark, volcanic soil. The name Otto is dedicated to Graziano’s Border Collie, his faithful companion throughout the day. The Garganega grapes, which make up 100% of this wine, are harvested in September. Following soft pressing, fermentation takes place strictly in stainless steel tanks to fully enhance the characteristics of the Garganega grape. Organoleptic Characteristics

Otto is straw-yellow in colour, with golden highlights. It has aromas of hawthorn, jasmine and apricot. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, with a smooth texture—one of those wines that, served chilled, you could drink endlessly.

Occasion and Pairing

Refreshing and lively, it is a versatile wine for everyday drinking, yet it pairs beautifully with fish dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 8–10°C.

THE WINERY

Pra'

The Prà winery was founded in the early 1980s. Constant commitment and love for the land, an unbridled passion for the art of viticulture and attention to every stage of production have allowed the Prà family to distinguish itself from the very beginning in the Veneto wine environment. The constant work of the company, always in perfect balance between techniques of the past and more modern innovations, has succeeded in elevating territories such as Monte Grande and Monte Bisson in Soave, and Morandina in Valpolicella to international fame: small and precious crus in areas with a very high viticultural vocation, processed and studied to be enhanced to the fullest by the final product. The constant search for perfection, painstaking work and respect for the very nature of the vines are the essence of the winery's very work, which has always aimed to produce high-quality Veneto wines from indigenous grapes. Among other things, the winery is known and much loved for the production of precious red wines from Veneto that can tell the story of the land in every glass. Name and address of producer/distributor: Prà - Via della Fontana, 31, 37032 Monteforte d'Alpone (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
