TASTING NOTES

Production

Nino Franco’s Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Extra Brut Nodi hails from the historic hills of Valdobbiadene, a wine-growing heritage of extraordinary distinction. It is made from carefully selected Glera grapes, sourced from vineyards cultivated with great attention to sustainability and yields. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal’s aromatic purity. The sparkling wine is produced using the long Charmat method, which yields fine, integrated bubbles. The Extra Brut dosage expresses a dry, modern and precise style, designed to highlight freshness, elegance and the terroir. E=285 KJ/68 kcal

Organoleptic Characteristics

Visually, it presents a light, luminous straw-yellow colour, with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it is fresh and elegant, with aromas of green apple, crisp pear, citrus and white flowers, accompanied by light mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry, taut and vibrant, with marked freshness, a pleasant savouriness and a clean, crisp finish, making it highly drinkable.

Occasion and Pairing

A Prosecco of great finesse and precision, ideal as a refined aperitif but also perfect throughout a meal. It pairs excellently with fish dishes, seafood, shellfish, sushi, light starters and delicate dishes.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 6–8°C.

THE WINERY

Nino Franco

The Nino Franco cellars were established at the beginning of the 20th century and have carried on their tradition ever since, handing down the passion for the land and the cultivation of wines from generation to generation. In over a century of activity, the winery has distinguished itself in the production of high-quality Veneto wines and a much-loved Prosecco, the creation of which is followed step by step. From the cultivation of the grapes to the bottling, the production steps are carefully studied to enhance the unique properties of the soil and the land. The winery is located in Valdobbiadene, on the foothills of the Pre-Alps, and the area's special microclimate is exploited to the full in order to obtain the highest quality from the final bottling. Over time, the company has been able to combine ancient knowledge with modern, cutting-edge techniques, focusing on organic and sustainable viticulture that can best respect the terroir and its special characteristics.
