TASTING NOTES

Production

Nino Franco's Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Extra Brut Nodi originates from the historic hills of Valdobbiadene, a viticultural heritage of extraordinary vocation. It is obtained from carefully selected Glera grapes, sourced from vineyards cultivated with great attention to sustainability and yields. Harvesting is manual and winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel to preserve the aromatic purity of the grape variety. Sparkling wine follows the long Charmat Method, which allows for a fine, integrated bubble. The Extra Brut dosage expresses a dry, modern and precise style, aimed at enhancing freshness, elegance and territorial imprint.

Organoleptic Characteristics

It appears to be a light and bright straw yellow color, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it is fresh and elegant, with scents of green apple, crunchy pear, citrus and white flowers, accompanied by light mineral notes. On the palate it is dry, tense and vibrant, with a marked freshness, a pleasant flavour and a clean and clean finish, of great drinkability.

Occasion and Pairing

Prosecco of great finesse and precision, ideal as a refined aperitif but also perfect for a full meal. It pairs excellently with fish dishes, seafood, shellfish, sushi, light appetizers and delicate preparations.

Serving Temperature

To best appreciate its freshness and balance, a serving temperature of 6/8°C is recommended.

THE WINERY

Nino Franco

The Nino Franco cellars were established at the beginning of the 20th century and have carried on their tradition ever since, handing down the passion for the land and the cultivation of wines from generation to generation. In over a century of activity, the winery has distinguished itself in the production of high-quality Veneto wines and a much-loved Prosecco, the creation of which is followed step by step. From the cultivation of the grapes to the bottling, the production steps are carefully studied to enhance the unique properties of the soil and the land. The winery is located in Valdobbiadene, on the foothills of the Pre-Alps, and the area's special microclimate is exploited to the full in order to obtain the highest quality from the final bottling. Over time, the company has been able to combine ancient knowledge with modern, cutting-edge techniques, focusing on organic and sustainable viticulture that can best respect the terroir and its special characteristics.
