TASTING NOTES

Following the harvest, the grapes of Nebbiolo are vinified in red in cement tanks, with alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, 20 days of maceration on the skins and complete malolactic fermentation. The subsequent phase of maturation of 6 months takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels. On the visual examination, Barbaresco’s Langhe Nebbiolo is presented to the glass with a transparent ruby red color with garnet reflections. The aroma is inviting in its intense aromas of ripe red fruits, white pepper and anise, supported by floral hints and aromatic herbs. The mouthfeel, balanced and tasty, reveals a slender freshness and ripe tannins, with a long and pleasing fruity finish. Its round and traditional character makes it suitable for everyday life, but able to impress in formal dinners. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Produttori del Barbaresco

In the heart of the Langhe, between the Barbaresco and Barolo areas, lies the small town of Alba. Here, on the right bank of the Tanaro River, stands the Prunotto farm and its crops. The winery is lovingly run by the same family, which passes down the area's winemaking secrets in pursuit of production that is both innovative and traditional. Since it was founded, the company's main goal has always been to enhance the unique characteristics of this area of Piedmont. The soils and vineyards have been treated with care and cultivated with the utmost respect for the timing of each grape, to arrive at the creation of an elegant Piedmontese wine full of character, able to tell the best of the territory in every glass. The Prunotto company carefully manages a modern, state-of-the-art production, starting from the cultivation of its fifty hectares up to the bottling process, to offer a final product with attention to every detail. Name and address of producer/distributor: Prunotto - 89, Borgo Bussia, Monforte D’Alba, CN 12065. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
