TASTING NOTES

Gattinara di Travaglini is the historic label of the company, a wine that best represents the territory of Gattinara, according to the interpretation and passion of the Travaglini family. Gattinara is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, then follows a 4-year aging in Slavonian oak barrels and small woods. Further aging for 3 months in bottle. The glass shows an ancient and shiny garnet color, with a delicate transparency. The nose prevails floral aromas of violet and rose petal, up to take on spicy and balsamic streaks with the passage of time. On the finish, mineral scents sometimes ferrous. Extreme elegance of a balance played between freshness, noble tannins just hatched and a subtle, infinite persistence of small red fruits, flowers and fruit jellies. Great meditation wine or perfect in combination with tasty pasta dishes, meats and medium-aged cheeses. To fully appreciate the style, This wine should be served at a service temperature of 16/18 ºC.
