TASTING NOTES

When one speaks of Bellavista, one speaks of the history of Franciacorta and Italian wine, one of the best known and most successful brands. The company came to life in 1977 when Vittorio Moretti decided to invest in the countryside around Erbusco with the intention of rivalling the better known French in the production of Metodo Classico sparkling wine. The name of the winery derives from the hill on which it stands, which looks out over Lake Iseo, the Po Valley and the nearby Alps. Today, Bellavista counts on over two hundred hectares divided into more than one hundred plots scattered throughout the DOC zone's territory for its range of climatic and geological micro-diversity that is unique at a national level and that allows it to have wines that exemplify what Franciacorta has to offer. Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero Pas Operé is the result of a very strict selection of Chardonnay (75%) and Pinot Noir (25%) grapes from the most historic and highest altitude vineyards owned by the company. About half of the base wines used ferment and age for several months in small French oak barrels to make this Lombardy bubbly even richer, more intense and more structured. To complete the ageing process, each bottle remains on its lees for 72 months. In the glass, it is straw yellow in colour with luminous golden reflections. The perlage is very fine and persistent. The bouquet on the nose is elegant and refined, with citrus hints, ripe yellow fruit hints, notes of bread crust and nuances of dried fruit and vanilla. In the mouth, complexity and structure stand out, with a pleasantly vertical, fresh and mineral finish. It is a very elegant wine, making it perfect to drink during a romantic fish and shellfish based dinner. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Bellavista

Born in 1977 from the vision of Vittorio Moretti, Bellavista is today one of the emblematic cellars of Franciacorta. Located on the hill of the same name between Lake Iseo, the Po Valley and the Alps, it stands out for the production of elegant and refined sparkling wines. Its 180 hectares of vineyards give life to iconic bubbles, such as Bellavista Alma, Satèn and the Reserves, maximum expressions of the Italian Classic Method. The processing follows artisanal techniques: the pressing takes place with ancient Champenoise presses to obtain a sweet squeeze, while the fermentation takes place both in steel and oak barrels. Every oenological choice aims to preserve the territorial identity and the fineness of the aromas. In addition to sparkling wines, Bellavista also values the production of Lombard white wines as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, wines that reflect the minerality and freshness typical of the hills of Franciacorta. Innovation and tradition also merge in the recent restyling of bottles and labels, designed to tell the link between the company and the territory. Its fruity scents and fine bubbles make each bottle perfect for special occasions or simply to enjoy a classy moment. Discover the great Bellavista wines on Signorvino and let yourself be conquered by the prestige of the Lombard bubbles. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Bellavista - Via Bellavista, 5 - 25030 Erbusco (BS). The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
