Curtefranca Rosso Corte del Lupo was first produced from the 1975 harvest. These two terms are reflected in the new label, which encapsulates the essence of the terroir and the viticultural quality of Ca’ del Bosco. Corte del Lupo Rosso is made from 52% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 12% Carménère. The presence of Cabernet ensures the robustness essential for imparting balance and longevity. After careful selection of the grapes, which are coded and cooled in cold stores, each bunch is selected by experts, before undergoing the exclusive ‘grape spa’ – a system involving washing the bunches in soaking tanks followed by a complete drying process. This is followed by maceration on the skins, alcoholic fermentation and frequent pumping over by gravity. Thus is born Corte del Lupo Rosso, which continues its ageing in wood and steel for around 24 months. The wine is then bottled by gravity, in a natural manner. 100 ml: E=318 kJ/77 kcal
