A dream that has developed over time and continues to create excitement, one of the flagship wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Damijan Podversic, with his wife Elena, has created a winery that can already boast an incredible reputation. Its most important vineyards, as well as a few plots scattered around the Collio, are located on the outskirts of Gorizia, on the wooded south-facing slopes of Monte Calvario. An unspoilt environment, perfect for growing healthy and tasty grapes. Damijan's Pinot Grigio ferments on the skins in oak vats for 30 days and then ages for two years in 5 hl barrels and for 1 year in the bottle. In the glass it has an unusual transparent and brilliant ruby red colour produced by the bluish skin of the grapes. On the nose, the stand-out notes are of red fruits, raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate but also dried figs and a hint of honey, with a mineral finish. In the mouth it is rich, deep and enveloping, with a long length. Superb when paired with white meat dishes and semi-mature cheeses.
