TASTING NOTES

Maison Henriot is one of the rare Champagne Houses that has remained family-run for a long time, located in the centre of Pierry. The Rosé cuvée combines elegance and intensity in classic Henriot style. Made from a blend of reserve wines, this cuvée enhances the Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims while preserving the fresh minerality of the small amounts of Chardonnay and Meunier. The colour is a soft pink with copper reflections. The perlage is very fine and persistent in the glass. On the nose, this cuvée surprises with a characteristic, complex and pleasantly fruity intensity. There are red and black berry fruit aromas such as raspberry, strawberry and particularly a black cherry taste. This is followed by freshly squeezed citrus notes, pink grapefruit and mandarin, and vegetal notes such as blackcurrant buds and cloves. The soft iris aroma finishes with candied fruit notes. Well-balanced on the palate with a notably pro-longed length. Pleasant balsamic and floral notes lead up to spicy aromas with an enjoyable freshness. The sweet final note prolongs its enjoyment, making Champagne Rosé a perfect pairing with delicate fish dishes. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Henriot

The Hofstatter Winery is a historical symbol of Alto Adige, guarded by the imposing walls of a 16th century building in the province of Bolzano. The Hofstatter vineyards stretch across the eastern and western sides of the Etschtal, finding a home on soils with different characteristics and microclimates. It was precisely because of this peculiarity that in 1987, for the first time in this region, they were able to introduce the designation “Vigna” for seven of their wines. Heir to an ancient family of winegrowers, Martin Foradori continues to pursue Hofstatter's core objective to this day: to harmonise the centuries-old, unique tradition of their land with an eye for innovation. In fact, the immense heritage of the Hofstatter estate has not precluded the use of modern technology to create a state-of-the-art winery, where new, low-energy concrete barrels are housed. The exceptional finesse of Hofstatter wines confirms that this goal is achieved year after year, yielding sublime examples of both whites, such as the renowned Gewürztraminer, and reds, such as Pinot Noir, that are recognised even beyond Italian borders. Name and address of producer/distributor: Hofstatter - Rathausplatz 7 - 39040 Tramin BZ. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
