TASTING NOTES

Second label of the Frederic Levin project, this Champagne comes from one of the richest terroirs of chalk where the Chardonnay grapes find their maximum expression on the hills facing southeast. Rich champagne, of a brilliant golden color, hints of ripe fruit and dried fruit, notes of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage just mentioned. Freshness and flavor are balanced making the mouthfeel soft but not sweet. Light perlage and excellent persistence. The wine ages about 40 months on the Levites in cellars dug in chalk. The name "Gars" comes from the abbreviation of "Garson" and reproduces on the label three stylized waiters. Champagne Grand Cru Gars by Frederic Levin is excellent as an aperitif or with fish dishes. To fully appreciate its style, this Champagne should be served at a serving temperature of 8/10 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Frederic Levin

The Maison Frederic Levin produces its Champagne through its own vineyards classified as Premier Cru, carrying on tradition and competence. The grapes come from 8.5 hectares of vineyards cultivated Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay located in the three municipalities of Trois-Puits, Montbré and Cormontreuil. Champagnes are processed and refined in cellars dug in chalk at eight meters deep: high humidity and constant temperature allow the wines to age in the best conditions. Name and address manufacturer/distributor: Champagne Blondel - 11, rue du Petit-Trois-Puits - 51500 Trois-Puits - France. The products of this cellar should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
