TASTING NOTES

Brunello di Montalcino Poggio al Ginepro ages in 50 hectolitre Slavonia oak barrels for 24 months and 12 months in a concrete tank. Made of 100% Sangiovese grapes, it is presented in a glass of intense ruby red color with garnet hues. It opens immediately to the rich and complex nose: with notes of dark cherry, chinotto and violet. In the mouth it is fresh, silky and elegant, with a precise tannic structure. The finish is very persistent with a pleasant cherry and chocolate aftertaste. Perfect combinations with the Brunello Poggio al Ginepro can be game dishes such as stracotti, braised, based on wild boar, guinea fowl or duck but also roast veal and pork.
