Sarmassa Vigna Merenda is a traditional Barolo, a wine ideal for long ageing, which best expresses the characteristics of the Barolo terroir. It is bright garnet red in colour; red berry fruits, undergrowth, sandalwood, rhubarb, tobacco, wax lacquer, spices and balsamic hints develop on the nose. On the palate it is fine, enveloping and velvety with ripe tannins; very elegant with a good length. Perfect for Sunday lunch and paired with red meats; try with roast and grilled meats.
