A symbolic wine of Langhe tradition, Barolo Falletto is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes from the famous Falletto cru, located in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. Winemaking follows a rigorous and classic style: traditional fermentation, long maceration on the skins and prolonged aging in large oak barrels. The aim is to preserve the identity of the terroir and the longevity of the wine, without technical forcing.
Intense garnet red in colour, with orange highlights that emerge with ageing. Complex and deep aroma: notes of withered rose, violet, ripe cherry and plum, followed by tertiary hints of licorice, tobacco, sweet spices, leather and undergrowth. On the palate it is structured, austere and elegant. Tannins are important but finely integrated, supported by good freshness. Long, persistent finish, with spicy and balsamic calls.
It pairs perfectly with rich and structured dishes of traditional cuisine such as braised meats and roasts of red meats, game (wild boar, hare, venison) or truffle risotto.
To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 18/20°C.
