Giuseppe Rinaldi's Barolo Bussia was born in the historic MGA Bussia, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, one of the most renowned crus of the Barolo appellation. It is produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards cultivated according to a traditional viticulture that respects the territory, with low yields and great attention to quality. Harvesting is manual and winemaking follows the classic winery style: fermentation in concrete tanks with long macerations on the skins, without exasperated temperature control, to preserve authenticity and expressiveness. The aging takes place for several years in large oak barrels, followed by a long rest in the bottle that allows the wine to fully express the character of the cru.
It appears to be a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it is deep, austere and complex, with scents of ripe cherry, plum and small red fruits, accompanied by notes of withered rose, purple, licorice, fine spices, tobacco, undergrowth and light balsamic and earthy nuances. On the palate it is structured and rigorous, with important but noble tannins, a vibrant freshness and a deep and coherent taste texture. The ending is long, persistent and harmonious, of great authenticity and ability to evolve over time.
Barolo of great tradition and personality, ideal for important occasions and for moments of conscious tasting. It pairs beautifully with red meats, braised meats, game, structured Piedmontese dishes and aged cheeses.
To best enhance its structure, complexity and elegance, a service temperature of 16/18°C is recommended.
