TASTING NOTES

Production

Barolo Brunate is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, sourced from the historic MGA Brunate vineyard in the municipality of La Morra, on the south-facing slope towards Barolo. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, followed by fermentation in steel tanks with skin contact for about three weeks. This period includes both pre- and post-fermentation maceration using the traditional submerged cap method. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. The wine is aged for a total of 32 months in a combination of barriques and large oak barrels. Bottled without filtration.

Organoleptic Characteristics

In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red color, while on the nose, it is explosive with fruity notes of plum, citrus hints of cedar and grapefruit, and a spicy finish. As it evolves in the glass, scents of violet emerge, characteristic of the Brunate terroir. On the palate, it is intense and full-bodied. The tannins are soft, round, and velvety, typical of the La Morra area. The finish reveals a hint of licorice root.

Occasion and Pairing

Barolo Brunate pairs excellently with game dishes, roasted meats, or well-aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

THE WINERY

Vietti

In the heart of the Langhe, an area known for the production of the traditional Barolo, Cantina Vietti has stood for four generations. However, it was in the 1960s that Alfredo Currado revolutionised wine production, from monovarietal vinification to Etichette d'Autore, original Vietti wines created by artists and inspired by a specific vintage. In the following years, the Vietti family continued along the road of experimentation in search of quality, contributing to the creation of one of the most renowned brands of Piedmontese wine made in Italy. To this day, Cantina Vietti, acquired by Krause Holdings, combines the traditions and passion carried on for generations with innovative techniques to ensure the production of high quality wines and an a href="https://www.signorvino.com/it/vini/inno_alla_natura/">viticoltura and sustainable viticulture that enhances and safeguards the surrounding terroir. The end result of the excellent Piedmontese wines produced by Cantina Vietti, which convey the love for the surrounding area and the dedication of its producers, can be appreciated on the palate. Name and address of producer/distributor: Vietti - Piazza Vittorio Veneto, 5, 12060 Castiglione Falletto (CN). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
