The Barolo Brunate by Vietti is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, sourced from the prestigious “Brunate” vineyard, located in the commune of La Morra, on the southern slope that faces Barolo. The grapes undergo vinification according to traditional methods: the alcoholic fermentation lasts about 3 weeks in stainless steel tanks, in contact with the skins, and includes both pre-fermentation cold maceration and post-fermentation maceration, using the traditional submerged cap method. The malolactic fermentation takes place in wood, imparting a unique finesse to the wine. After fermentation, the Barolo matures for approximately 30 months in large oak barrels, with a small portion aged in barriques, achieving a perfect balance between freshness and complexity. In the glass, Barolo Brunate shows an intense ruby red color. Its aromatic bouquet is explosive and wide, with fruity notes of plum, citrus accents of cedar and grapefruit, and rich spicy nuances. As the wine opens up, characteristic hints of violet, typical of the Brunate terroir, emerge, adding extraordinary depth and complexity. On the palate, the wine is full and intense, with soft, velvety, and rounded tannins, a signature trait of the La Morra region. The mouthfeel is enveloping and harmonious, with a finish that leaves a pleasant impression of licorice root, testament to its elegance and power. Barolo Brunate is a perfect companion to structured and complex dishes. It pairs beautifully with red meats such as braised beef, filet mignon, or grilled lamb chops, as well as game dishes like wild boar, venison, and pheasant. It also excels with dishes featuring porcini mushrooms or truffle, which further enhance its structure. When paired with cheese, it is ideally complemented by aged pecorino, castelmagno, or toma piemontese, cheeses that reflect its complexity and richness. This Barolo, of great prestige and elegance, is perfect for special occasions, such as anniversaries, weddings, or gala dinners, where its structure and depth can be fully appreciated. Thanks to its aging potential, it is also an excellent choice as a meditation wine, offering a sensory experience that evolves and deepens over time. To fully appreciate its aromatic complexity and tannic structure, it is recommended to serve Barolo Brunate at a temperature of 18-20°C, allowing the wine to fully open up and express its rich bouquet and elegance.
