Sorì San Lorenzo was born from the homonymous cru and is a Barbaresco that was born from the use of the largest and most famous red grape of Piedmont, Nebbiolo. The grapes, carefully selected during the manual harvest, after vinification undergo a double aging, fundamental to fully develop the characteristics of this wine. In fact, we proceed with an initial period of 12 months spent in barriques, and then, with another year spent in large barrels. At the end of these 24 months of maturation, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed. It has a brilliant red that recalls garnet and the nose is superb: undergrowth, ripe fruit and spices and light nuances of aromatic herbs. The mouthfeel has an extraordinary body, a warm and enveloping sip, the tannins of Nebbiolo are clear as well as the extraordinary acidity. Perfectly balanced and remarkably persistent. A wine suitable for very long aging and to be uncorked for a great occasion. To match certainly with dishes with great structure, possibly based on red meat and game, but also next to old and aged cheeses is superb. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
