TASTING NOTES

Farina, a family that has inherited a passion for wine and carrys it forward with conviction and love. 45 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella Classica area: 10 hectares of property and 35 hectares of suppliers who the Farina family have worked alongside for years in their wine production business. Vineyards treated with the utmost respect and meticulously tended to, with particular attention paid to enhancing an extraordinary grape such as the Corvina variety. The Amarone is one of the most famous DOCGs (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin) in the entire Italian wine scene and undoubtedly in the whole of Veneto. It is the great Veneto red wine par excellence. Amarone Famiglia Farina seeks to combine tradition and innovation, experience and winemaking trends. This wine comes from a blend of 70% Corvina and 30% Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The grapes are placed inside drying larders for 4 months before undergoing an additional 24 months of maturation in Slavonian oak barrels and then ageing in bottles without filtering. With only 1 gram of sugar per litre, Amarone Famiglia Farina harks back to the true origin of AMARONE and the history of one of the most famous and treasured wines in Italian winemaking tradition. The colour is intense, a brilliant ruby red with garnet reflections; on the nose, the wine deliveries cherries, ripe black cherries and other macerated red fruits, toast, tobacco, cocoa, and balsamic on the finish. In the mouth it is dry, warm and velvety. A great structure that is elegant, fine and balanced. A wine that lingers long in the mouth, caressing us with a single sip. This is an ideal wine to keep over time and uncork to mark an important occasion. Pair with a succulent pot roast, a wild boar stew, or even a roast. Perfect with dishes with strong flavours, but first and foremost can also be enjoyed on its own. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Farina

Having inherited the passion for wine as a family heritage, Alessandro, Claudio and Elena Farina have for years taken care of the 45 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area, 35 of which are owned, with a special focus on enhancing the Corvina grape. Aspiring to create high-quality wines, the Farina family relies on modern technologies and cutting-edge techniques in the winemaking process. The Farina winery combines a deep respect for the family tradition with great tenacity and courage in innovation. The fine red wines from Veneto are the result of new techniques, significant interventions in the vineyards and great attention to organic and sustainable viticulture. In this area of Veneto where the winemaking tradition has been a pillar for centuries, there is an indissoluble link between the wines, symbol of this ancient heritage, and the unique land that produces them. From the traditional Amarone del Valpolicella, a distinctive feature and excellence of the winemaking tradition of the area, to the Trevenezie reds, these high-quality products express the intensity and strength of the surrounding area. Name and address of producer/distributor: Farina - Viale Alberto Bolla, 11, 37029 Pedemonte (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
