TASTING NOTES

Production

This wine is crafted from a blend of 70% Corvina and 30% Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara. The grapes are dried in fruit-drying rooms for 4 months and then undergo an additional 24 months of aging in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a bottle aging without filtration.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The color is intense, a beautiful ruby red with garnet reflections; on the nose, there are cherries, ripe sour cherries, and other red fruits in spirits, along with toasty notes, tobacco, cocoa, and a balsamic finish. On the palate, it is dry, warm, and velvety. It boasts a grand structure that is elegant, refined, and balanced.

Occasion and Pairing

A wine that can certainly be aged and opened for a special occasion. It pairs beautifully with a succulent braised dish, stewed wild boar, or a roast. Perfect with bold-flavored dishes, it is also a wine that can be enjoyed on its own.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C.

Allergens: Solfiti

THE WINERY

Farina

Having inherited the passion for wine as a family heritage, Alessandro, Claudio and Elena Farina have for years taken care of the 45 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area, 35 of which are owned, with a special focus on enhancing the Corvina grape. Aspiring to create high-quality wines, the Farina family relies on modern technologies and cutting-edge techniques in the winemaking process. The Farina winery combines a deep respect for the family tradition with great tenacity and courage in innovation. The fine red wines from Veneto are the result of new techniques, significant interventions in the vineyards and great attention to organic and sustainable viticulture. In this area of Veneto where the winemaking tradition has been a pillar for centuries, there is an indissoluble link between the wines, symbol of this ancient heritage, and the unique land that produces them. From the traditional Amarone del Valpolicella, a distinctive feature and excellence of the winemaking tradition of the area, to the Trevenezie reds, these high-quality products express the intensity and strength of the surrounding area. Name and address of producer/distributor: Farina - Viale Alberto Bolla, 11, 37029 Pedemonte (VR). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
