Production

Amarone della Valpolicella Costasera is made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. Fermentation occurs after approximately 120 days of drying the grapes on bamboo racks. The resulting wine ages for 24 months in large barrels for 80% of the mass, with the remaining 20% in barriques, followed by 4 months in the bottle before being released for sale.

Organoleptic Characteristics

On the nose, it releases all its aromas, unfolding with notes of ripe cherry, cooked plum, roasted coffee, milk chocolate, and faint hints of cinnamon. On the palate, it is extremely balanced, with no overwhelming alcoholic component and a soft, velvety tannin. It finishes with a long, lingering aftertaste.

Occasion and Pairing

It is an important red wine from Veneto, perfect for Sunday family meals, presenting in the glass with a deep ruby red color. A wine for rich and flavorful dishes, ideal to pair with game meats or aged cheeses, including spicy ones.

Serving Temperature
