TASTING NOTES

Production

Made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, which are dried in crates placed in a drying room. The red vinification ensures contact with the skins throughout the fermentation process, and color extraction is enhanced by two daily pump-overs and a délestage halfway through fermentation. It is aged in both small and large wooden barrels for two years.

Organoleptic Characteristics

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Case Vecie showcases an intense ruby red color, very mature on the nose, almost toasted, with aromas of dried red blueberries, cherries, and macerated figs. On the palate, it follows with a fresher and softer note, featuring aromas of cinnamon, pepper, and tobacco. The finish is persistent, with a young and full-bodied tannic structure that is also smooth.

Occasion and Pairing

Perfect for pairing during a Sunday family lunch, perhaps with a meat main course.

Serving Temperature

To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C.

THE WINERY

Brigaldara

With its characteristic 16th century villa surrounded by magnificent vineyards, the Brigaldara winery in San Floriano, owned by the Cesari family since 1928, dominates the Vallata di Marano, one of the four valleys of the historic Valpolicella area. The secret of these Veneto wine producers lies in the winemaking process, a crucial element of the Brigaldara identity. Supported by significant wine-makers such as Roberto Ferrarini, one of the most important innovators in the history of Amarone, the members of the Cesari family have in fact adopted important innovations for their production facilities and the cellar. Lamberto and Antonio, the current owners, encourage a specialised layout of the vineyards with constant love and passion, based on the varieties best suited to each area of their 120 hectares. So much attention makes the Brigaldara winery stand out with its unique biodiversity, respected and enhanced through sustainable practices, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, which allow them to bottle a varied wine heritage. Name and address of producer/distributor: Brigaldara - Via Brigaldara, 20 37029 - San Pietro in Cariano VR. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
