Andriano winery has always kept the potential of its terroir and its identity. The Cantina di Andriano was founded in 1893, when the winegrowers of this area had the courage to join to found the first winery in South Tyrol. Each glass of Andriano can tell with its aromas and flavors, the inimitable peculiarities of South Tyrol. Lagrein Riserva Tor di Lupo is a red wine whose vines grow in vineyards located about 300 meters above sea level, rooted in a terroir composed mainly of sand and clay. During the harvest the grapes are carefully selected and after destemming the berries are pressed, giving rise to a must that ferments in stainless steel containers, where pumping over is frequent. The wine is aged for 12 months in barriques until bottling begins. Tor di Lupo is presented to the glass with a typically ruby color, crossed by veins more tending to purple in the nail. The nose is marked by notes of very ripe red fruit, embellished with touches of spices and resins, a prelude to an olfactory finish from which a hint of bitter chocolate emerges. The palate is full-bodied and immediately announces a pleasant freshness, with a tannic sip that continues on a finish with excellent persistence. An excellent bottle in combination with a first course of meat or game. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
