The history of the Arunda winery starts with Josef Reiterer in 1979 with a production of 10,000 bottles of sparkling wine in Alto Adige, making it the only winery in that area producing sparkling wine. Although he was more inclined to build a distillery at first, he had to give in to his wife's wishes. He jokes: "You know, women prefer pearls: and perlage it was!" The winery is located in Meltina at an elevation of 1,200 metres, still one of Trentino’s most stunning wine areas. To this day, Arunda still stands for excellence and territoriality on the Alto Adige scene. Alto Adige Brut Rosé Metodo Classico is made from 50% Pinot Blanc and 50% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards located on morainic, clay soil. The grapes undergo rosé vinification followed by ageing on the lees as the specification requires, for 24-30 months. Ageing after disgorgement for an additional 2 years. In the glass, it delivers a particularly rich and persistent perlage, with a bright and luminous salmon colour. Arunda Rosé is pleasantly fruity, creamy and youthful on the palate, elegant and balanced, perfect for summertime drinking. Ideal for an outdoor aperitif, to fully appreciate its style serve at a temperature of 6/8°C.
