On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and smooth, with elegant tannins and good body, indicating great ageing potential. The finish is persistent with mineral notes and a pleasant fruitiness.

THE WINERY

Pasqua

Cantina Passopisciaro is one of the youngest and most enterprising wineries when it comes to winemaking in Sicily. It was founded recently, but at the hands of an experienced founder who realised the great potential of the lava soil for the production of the highest quality Sicilian wines. The intuition turned out to be right as the company managed to establish itself as a reference point for wine production in the area in a short time. The company is located on the slopes of Etna and has around forty hectares of vines divided over several districts, each with its own particularities and biodiversity. The microclimates and characteristics of each soil are carefully studied to maximise the qualities of the final product. The hectares are planted with various varieties of Cabernet and Merlot, Cesanese, Petit Verdot and Viognier, as well as a wide range of Pinot Noir. Name and address of producer/distributor: Passopisciaro - via castiglione di Sicilia Passopisciaro (CT). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
